Community Water Leaders Network Interest Form

The Community Water Leaders Network (CWLN) connects and empowers rural California water board members, city council members, county supervisors and other elected leaders who are advancing the Human Right to Water in their communities. CWLN is open to current and prospective elected leaders who care about:

  • Constituent transparency and accountability

  • Sustainable and affordable solutions for local community water challenges

  • Actively participating in the decision-making processes that affect rural communities in California and growing leadership in water

  • Safe and affordable drinking water for all Californians

There are four components of CWLN:

1. Monthly Roundtables: Monthly conference calls that provide members an opportunity to connect with each other, crowd-source answers to their questions and receive updates and information on recent developments in water justice.

2. Bi-monthly Briefings: Workshops held every other month that bring together diverse decision-makers to facilitate conversations and learning on specific topics of shared interest.

3. Technical support: Connecting members of the Network to technical and legal assistance.

4. Electoral support: Support for members regarding local campaign planning and voter education. Endorsement for select candidates is possible for those who submit a questionnaire and are selected for endorsement by Community Water Center Action Fund’s Endorsement Committee.
