2023 DES Talent Show
The talent show is back live and in person! The show will be Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. at South River High School Auditorium.  

Tryouts will be held on April 25 or April 27 (2:30-5:00 p.m. in the DES cafeteria).  A Sign-Up Genius will be sent out for you to choose a time slot for tryouts that works for your child.  Your child MUST try out on one of the dates to participate in the talent show.  Your child MUST also participate in the MANDATORY rehearsal to participate in the show.  The rehearsal will be Tuesday, May 30, 2023 starting at 5:00 p.m.

Due to the overwhelming success and participation in the past, the following rules will apply:  
• By their tryout date, all participants must provide their own 2 minute or less pre-cut music on a thumb drive  (we cannot cut or edit music for you).  Any offensive words or profanity must also be edited out of the song.  Alternatively, participants may e-mail the music no later than the day before the tryout to cathymanofsky@gmail.com 
• Song selection will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.  If a song has previously been chosen and approved for another student, you may be asked to select different music.  
• Song selection must be approved by the Talent Show Committee.
• Parents must complete this online registration form and permission slip by March 27, 2023 for each participant.
• The Talent Show will be limited to the first 50 acts to submit their permission forms before that deadline.  If more than 50 acts submit permission slips before the March 27, 2023, deadline, the Talent Show Committee reserves the right to close participation in the show before the March 27th deadline.
• All acts must have an adult coordinator involved (parent, relative, adult friend, etc.)
• There is a 2-minute or less time limit for each act. In its discretion, the Talent Show Committee may shorten acts.
• Students may participate in only one act, unless approved by the Talent Show Committee.
• Participants MUST perform in both the rehearsal and the actual show.
• Gymnastic stunts of any type will not be permitted during their performance.  
• For group acts, each student participating must complete the online registration form/permission slip.
