FALL 2026 La Cañada Flintridge Sister Cities International Space Academy Application
Thank you for your interest in the La Cañada Flintridge Sister Cities International Space Academy program. This opportunity is a partnership between our Sister Cities organization, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in La Cañada and our international partner city, Villañueva de la Cañada, Spain. We are thrilled to share that this program is also a recipient of the Sister Cities International 2026 award for Innovation in Youth and Education.

This application form will be open and available for interested participants to complete between August 3, 2026 and September 7, 2026. If you are accepted into The Space Academy there will be a $200 fee to cover the program's expenses, $100 of which goes to a one-year LCF Sister Cities Membership and the other $100 of which covers materials and related fees. Applicants will be notified on or before September 8, 2026, if they are selected to participate in this year's session.

The Space Academy consists of 9 mandatory sessions that take place on Fridays from 3:45-5:45pm on the JPL campus in the von Kármán Auditorium. Applicants must be able to commit to attending all 9 sessions in person. Dates are: 9/11, 9/18, 9/25, 10/2, 10/9, 10/16, 10/23 (TEST LAUNCH), 10/30, 11/6 (FINAL LAUNCH).   *
