Membership is open to the public on a sliding scale of $10-$50 per member/family.

Your membership helps support ongoing maintenance and upkeep of the farm and gives you "pick your own" at your leisure harvesting privileges.  When harvesting, please be mindful of the students and other members and only pick what you or your family will actually be able to eat.

PEAS Community Farm & Urban Orchard began in 2011 when educators, students, parents, and community members came together at Cunningham Elementary (2200 Berkeley Ave., Austin, TX 78745) in South Austin to develop a 2,400 square foot community garden designed to foster relationships and promote sustainability and stewardship through experiential education.

BY SUBMITTING THIS FORM ON-LINE, I AM AGREEING TO ALL OF THE BELOW TERMS.

I understand and agree that Austin Independent School District (AISD) and PEAS Community School Farm ("AISD/PEAS") are not responsible for personal injury or property damage incurred by any farm member, or for theft, loss or destruction of any property owned by a member. I assume full responsibility for conducting myself in a civil manner and agree to not engage in unacceptable conduct, including but not limited to vandalism, consumption of alcoholic beverages, possession and/or use of illegal drugs or weapons of any kind, verbal and/or physical harassment and/or abuse, defamation, and littering while on site.

I understand and agree AISD and persons involved with PEAS Community School Farm shall not discriminate on basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, religion, marital status, age, sex sexual orientation, disability, in the administration of this program.

In the event that a dispute arises between farm members and a resolution of the dispute cannot be reached by these individuals, I agree to have the PEAS Leadership Committee act as the arbitrator for the dispute and abide by the decision reached.

I voluntarily RELEASE AND DISCHARGE AISD/PEAS, anyone associated with AISD/PEAS (specifically including PEAS Farm members and volunteers, AISD employees, agents, representatives, volunteers, heirs, executors, administrators, successors and assigns), AISD/PEAS and anyone associated ASID/PEAS from any and all personal injury or property damage sustained by me or any child (whose name appears below) while on the Farm.  All of the released parties listed above are sometimes collectively referred to in the release as the RELEASED PARTIES.

I assume full responsibility for any risk of injury, damage or accidents that may occur on the Farm, and I WAIVE any claim, demands or causes of action that I may have or acquire against the RELEASED PARTIES as a result of any activities on the Farm, EVEN IF SUCH CLAIMS ARE BASED ON THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASED PARTIES.

I agree not to sue the RELEASED PARTIES for any claim arising out of any activity on the Farm. I agree that this release is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the laws of the State of Texas, and if any portion of this release is held to be invalid, the balance of the release will continue in full force and effect. This release is effective each time that I enter the Farm after signing this release.

Photographic Release. I grant and convey unto PEAS all right, title, and interest in all photographic images and video or audio recordings made by PEAS during the participation of listed members/volunteers in PEAS programs. These photos or recording may be used to promote PEAS’ programs in the media or highlight work that is taking place on campus or at the community farm for any purposes PEAS deems necessary.

This release will be construed according to the laws of the State of Texas, and venue for legal action to interpret or enforce this release will be Travis County, Texas.

This release states the full and final agreement between me and the RELEASED PARTIES, and this release may not be modified or altered by any verbal or implied agreements.

I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS RELEASE AND I FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENTS. I AM AWARE THAT THIS IS A COMPLETE RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND WAIVER OF CLAIMS. I UNDERSTAND THAT I WOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN ACTIVITIES ON THE FARM IF I DO NOT AGREE TO THE TERMS OF THIS RELEASE. I HAVE SIGNED THIS RELEASE OF MY OWN FREE WILL AND AGREE TO ITS TERMS. BY SUBMITTING THIS FORM ON-LINE, I AM AGREEING TO ALL OF THE ABOVE TERMS.
