The 2023 DRIVERS Scientific Committee is pleased to invite abstract submissions from prospective presenters in the following presentation streams:
-
Scientific presentations – Longer dynamic oral presentations, sharp rapid fire presentations and a broad display of current regional scholarship
-
Reflective presentations – Showcasing Vision, Innovation and Excellence - for discussion of prior insights or activities relating to improving quality in rural and regional healthcare
-
Case study presentations –
Lightning talks delivering key clinical messages - for discussion of case studies with lessons for rural and regional healthcare.
All Scientific, Reflective and Case Study Presentations accepted onto the DRIVERS program are allocated to the most appropriate program stream by the Scientific Committee - either an oral podium presentation, or accepted as posters for display. Presenters can be over zoom, or in person.
To apply to be part of this multi-state conference of medical excellence, simply complete this submission form by MIDNIGHT 21 JUNE 2023. We aim to notify you of the outcome the week of the 10 July.
Presenters at this one-day conference will showcase their academic, research and quality improvement achievements and investigations in front of an audience of peers and colleagues. This will be a hybrid event, combining the best of face-to-face and online presentations to enable maximum engagement.
This is a great professional development opportunity for rural and regional junior doctors, registrars, fellows, consultants and medical students from regional Australia. We also welcome abstract submissions from nursing, allied health, medical and health research professionals in this regional footprint. Note that metropolitan-based medical professionals are eligible to present at DRIVERS 2023 if your presentation is related to regional/rural health outcomes.
Presentations MAY NOT have joint authors or presenters ie. DRIVERS only accepts ONE presenter per presentation. If co-authors wish to present, each author MUST apply separately and speak to a different aspect of the research. The Committee expects all abstract submissions to list other authors and affiliations of lead authors if relevant.
If you wish to be considered for more than one presentation, please provide additional information in the relevant fields. (A maximum of four abstracts can be submitted per person).
Check out the DRIVERS website's resources section for great information on research, publishing and presenting.
Please answer questions on this form to the best of your ability. If you need assistance - contact Lauren Evans via lauren.evans2@monash.edu Documentary evidence of answers is not required but the conference organisers have the right to check if the information provided is correct. If the supplied information is incorrect, the abstract will be ineligible.
FOR ALL SUBMISSIONS We suggest you consider using these templates for abstracts (based on DRIVERS Conference streams)
