Kale Cook Off Sign Up
Fresh at the Avenue, a social enterprise of No Boundaries Coalition is hosting a live cooking competition and tasting in celebration of its 4th Anniversary at the Avenue Market. The competition will test each contestant’s ability to prepare a raw and cooked kale dish using ingredients available from Fresh, augmented where necessary. Each participant will be allowed one secret ingredient and an optional sous chef to win the competition. All ages and skill levels encouraged to apply. Read more below:

Fresh will provide:
All raw ingredients
Basic Cooking Equipment (butane burner, pot, cutting board, blender)
Basic Seasonings

Contestants may opt to provide:
One secret ingredient
One sous chef
Decorations for their cook station

Pre-registration for teams is required and must be paid by that day. Teams must:
Consist of one head cook and no more than 1 assistant
Provide their own cooking and serving utensils (all other cooking equipment provided)
Cook a minimum of 1 pot of greens and 1 full mixing bowl of live kal

Schedule of Events

11:30- Contestant Arrival
12:30- Cooking
1:30- Judging & Tasting
2:15- Prizes & Bragging Rights
2:30- Event Completion
