Amazing that you want to perform in the Open Mic.

All forms of literary expression are allowed, such as spoken word, poetry, op-eds, drama, and performances, as long as the speakers commit to comply with the 3-5-minutes time per performer. You do not need to have any prior experience to perform in the open mic. Yes, you can read from your notes. No photos without consents.

Pieces can be in English, Dutch or your native tongue.

We do have a limited number of open mic spots. Spots will be given on a first-sign-up-first-listed basis.

If you have any questions, you can contact us via IG @unwantedwordsproject

This event is brought to you by Fite Club x Unwanted Words. We've collaborated to create safe(r) spaces where queer and BIPOC (Black, Indigenous People of Colour) voices can shine. We encourage newcomers and seasoned humans to grab the mic and share their beautiful words in a robustly supportive environment here for art to thrive. This particular evening is BIPOC centered and no Cis Men. We love our brothers and we'll catch you next time!
