Request to vacate form due to placement form
Before you can terminate your residence contract you will need written approval from the University. If you vacate early without approval, you will be liable to pay for the full term of your contract.

Your terms and conditions of residence allows you to vacate your accommodation if you are undertaking research work for a period longer than 6 weeks as part of your course which can only be carried out away from York and you give to Accommodation Services not less than 8 weeks' written notice of your intention to terminate this Agreement and, in the notice, you specify the End Date (which may not be any earlier than the date one week before the date the research placement starts).
