Music Camp is for kids entering 1st through completing 6th grade. Camp will be June 10-14 from 10 am – 3 pm. Our performance will be Friday evening, June 14. Please send a sack lunch for your child each day. Early registration for Music Camp is required, and the registration deadline is Wednesday, May 22. You may give the $65 camp fee per participant to Jennifer Porter, or mail it to: Broadway Church of Christ, 1924 Broadway, Lubbock, TX 79401, (attention: Jennifer). A t-shirt is provided with registration. Parent who volunteer to help with music camp can get a discount or waiver for the registration cost. Your child may choose to audition for a speaking part (main character) or a singing solo. If your child wants to try out for a main character part or singing solo, he/she must have completed 2nd grade and may choose to audition either Sunday, May 5 (starting at 9:00) in the 2nd Floor Children’s Department or Wednesday evening, May 8 (starting at 6pm). Anyone living out of town who wants to audition should call Jennifer to make arrangements. Children who audition and are given speaking parts (main character lines, not soloists) must commit to attend two practices on May 29th, from 5-6:30 and June 9 from 4:30-6:30 pm to prepare for the week. Additional singing rehearsals for the entire cast and chorus are Wednesday evenings in the 2nd Floor Children’s Department in Room 201 ( May 8, May 15, May 22, June 5) during regular class time from 6:30-7:30. These rehearsals are great practice and VERY HELPFUL, but optional.
