Before beginning our workshop we will collect waivers for every participant, take payment for any outstanding balances, go over health and safety procedures and give a demonstration so you can see how each and every step of the creative process will unfold, including your role in the making of your own glass keepsake.
After the demo, we invite each individual participant to create their glass work one by one. The names of the participants are written down and numbered. The work is put away in a row so that we can match you with the piece you made.
Your glass work will be placed into a cooling down oven (annealer) to take it to room temperature overnight. Work will be available for pick up starting the following Wednesday after 5 pm and within two weeks' time from there. Pick up information can be found here: https://www.playingwithfire.ca/pickup-information
Duration of workshops depends on what you want to make, your punctuality, and the physical abilities of your group members. Duration quoted is a reflection of the maximum time we expect the workshop to take. If we finish early and with enough time, we are happy to demonstrate another object for the group, free of charge. The price for the group workshop remains the same and you may purchase the demo item for $35.
Please note: You are not paying an hourly rate, you are paying for a per person experience.
Please note, due to the size of our studio space and the nature of the workshops, groups of more than 30 will need to be split into two separate groups.
