The psychological 'fabric' of climbers - research study (1st wave)
We think you are one of the chosen ones for this research! Chosen to give away some of your time for the greater good of our community! What’s this about?!
Discovering what makes us great at our sport!
I’ve started climbing in 2003 and have gone all the way from 5a to 8b. I am also a PhD student in psychology currently conducting the first research aimed at understanding the psychological profile of performing climbers.
This research is supported by Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca (Romania) and coordinated by myself (Maria Stefania IONEL, PhD student), supervised by Laura VISU-PETRA, PhD, Associate Professor, Department of Psychology, Babes-Bolyai University & Andrei ION PhD, Associate Professor, Department of Psychology, University of Bucharest (Romania).
We won’t be taking more than 60 mins of your time. What do you get in return?!
- the chance to make a contribution to our understudied sport;
- a detailed research report - upon request - at the end of the study (after processing results);
- enrollment in a lottery for a random prize;
- my eternal gratitude. :))
Please consider that the study has 2 waves (each lasting approximately 30 minutes), and this is the 1st one. Participants that will complete both waves of the study will be randomly selected to win a surprise prize announced in the 2nd wave of the study.
