Partners for Education, Agriculture & Sustainability (PEAS) -- Outdoor/Garden and Edible Education Program Registration 2020-2021
This form is for schools that would like to enroll a school in Partners for Education, Agriculture & Sustainability (PEAS) Outdoor or Edible Education Programs. Please fill out this form. If you would like us to give you a call to discuss our programs please email us at admin@peascommunity.org.

PEAS is dedicated to connecting communities to the natural world, delivering TEKS-aligned science and math lessons with a sub-focus on health and nutrition for classes throughout the school year. Programming options include PEAS educator-led outdoor, nature-based and indoor kitchen lessons during the school day.

Additional services including teacher professional development, coaching, outdoor classroom planning, and garden maintenance available for an additional fee on a case by case basis.

REGISTRATION PROCESS:
(Registration is considered complete once deposit is matched with complete form.)

1. Fill out this REGISTRATION FORM.

2. Pay your school's deposit*. A deposit of $500 (or $250 for schools with over 50% of students receiving free or reduced lunch) holds the school’s spot on our programming list and is required for us to pursue additional funds and begin lessons. The deposit applies towards the school’s portion of the program fee. If your school has no funding available for your deposit, go ahead and fill out the form and note that. Schools who are able to pay the deposit will be prioritized for grant writing, but there is always a chance that we will be able to get everyone funded.

3. Funding - If supplemental funding is needed, we will start including schools in our grant writing once we have both the registration form and the deposit. It is easiest for us to get funds when a school can make a matching contribution beyond the deposit. We cannot guarantee that we will find funding for all schools, but we are always trying. The earlier a school gets on our programming list, the more likely we are to raise the supplemental program fees. Most grants we receive apply to schools where over 50% of students are economically disadvantaged.

PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY: **PEAS CANNOT GUARANTEE WE WILL BE ABLE TO FIND FUNDING FOR YOUR SCHOOL. WE HIGHLY ENCOURAGE SCHOOLS TO SEEK GRANTS ON THEIR OWN. WE ARE HAPPY TO SUPPLY A LETTER OF SUPPORT IF NEEDED. ** It is easier for us to find matching funds if the school contributes a portion.
We ask a school to contribute no more than $7,500 per year for our signature program with PEAS committed to fundraising the remainder of the total $14,000 cost for delivering year-round, TEKS-aligned, experiential education which includes a trained outdoor education specialist, curriculum development, all lesson materials, as well as community engagement support. A deposit of $500 (or $250 for schools with over 50% of students receiving free or reduced lunch) holds the school’s spot on our programming list and is required for us to pursue additional funds and begin lessons. The deposit applies towards the school’s portion of the program fee.
