HF2C Producer Agreement

This Producer Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into on the date specified below ("Effective Date") between Hawai‘i Farm-to-Car, operated by Hoʻōla Farms, and the undersigned Producer ("Producer").

Background
Hawai‘i Farm-to-Car (HF2C) operates an online marketplace, pickup sites, and related programs to help distribute locally grown and produced food. The Producer seeks to sell products through HF2C's retail, wholesale, and institutional sales channels. This Agreement outlines key expectations and responsibilities to support transparency, safety, and quality for all partners and customers.

Timely Delivery
Timeliness is essential to our operations and ensures that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on schedule. By initialing below, you agree to deliver your products on time to the designated HF2C pickup site (Tuesdays 9AM–4PM and Wednesdays 9 AM - 10 AM in Hilo). Initial Below:  *

Product Quality
All products must meet consistently high quality standards. This includes being fresh, ripe, and of Grade A quality unless otherwise specified.

Non–Grade A items must be clearly labeled and accurately described.

Products must be clean, free from field debris, and uncontaminated.

HF2C reserves the right to refuse any products that are:

-Unlabeled
-Rotten, bruised, broken, or wilting
-Unsealed, off-smelling, slimy, or moldy
-Excessively dirty, diseased, or suspected of contamination
-Due to the risk of rat lungworm disease, we reserve the right to discarded any lettuce, greens etc. that contain slugs or snails upon inspection. Discarded produce will not be paid for.

Plants and nursery items must be pest- and disease-free, including free of invasive species such as fire ants.

Value-Added & Regulated Goods
Producers of value-added foods (packaged items), meat, dairy, and eggs must comply with applicable state and USDA regulations.

Value-added products must be prepared in a certified kitchen and labeled appropriately when applicable.

Invoice Submission
Producer acknowledges that an invoice is required to be submitted in order to receive payment. Invoices should be submitted for each market period.

Professional Communication
Producer agrees to communicate with HF2C staff, customers, and partners in a professional, timely, and respectful manner at all times. HF2C staff will do the same.

This Agreement may be terminated by either party with written notice. Termination does not release either party from obligations or responsibilities that occurred prior to the termination date.
