Directions: This form is to be completed by parent(s) or legal guardian(s) who wish to have their child excused from school to participate in an educational tour or trip that is not school sponsored. See the "Guidelines for Approval of Educational Tours or Trips" in the Attendance Section of the VGSD Student Handbook for details pertaining to the approval procedure. Please note, no trips will be approved during state assessment administration periods (PSSA & Keystone Exams).

This form should be completed and submitted 5 days prior to the requested trip. Your child will be responsible for completing any missed work/assignments. Please have your child speak with their teachers prior to departing on their trip to make arrangements for their work. You will receive an email regarding the status of your request from an administrator.
