In order to be a Peer Educator, you need to have earned a GPA of 3.0 or better in that course and be recommended by the instructor.

If you are hired,
1. You will be required to attend training sessions during the fall and spring semesters (depending on when you begin work in the semester). Training sessions usually last about one hour and are scheduled at more than one time and day so that you can fit the training into your schedule. You are paid for all training.

2. You will be required to enroll in LTAT 310. This is a 1 unit online course designed to familiarize yourself with your role as a tutor and methods of effective tutoring.

3. You should expect to work a minimum of 3 hours per week.

4. You should expect to commit to at least an entire semester.

The current pay rate for tutoring is $11.00 per hour for students and $11.60 per hour for classified temporary employees.
