Our theme for this fall is Let’s Make Something Beautiful, organized around Genesis 1:10 in which God created the heavens and earth “and God saw that it was good”. In this time of transition, it seemed appropriate to come together to celebrate what is good and beautiful here at St. Clare’s and to work together to make more goodness and beauty.

Maker's Meetup
September 19th, 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Bring in something to work on – knitting, needlework, paint-by-number, beading, card-making, scrapbooking – and we’ll create, converse and snack together. Don’t have something to work on, but want the fellowship? We’ll have some adult coloring books and craft supplies you can play with.
Origami Folding Fun
Sunday, Oct. 4, after the 10:00 a.m. service

Stick around for coffee and learn the Japanese paper-folding craft of Origami. We’ll have kits with paper and instructions. Just come and make something beautiful!
Communion Bread Baking Lesson
Sunday, Oct. 11, 12:00 p.m. 
 
Learn how to make unleavened bread that is WAY better than the communion wafers.
Watercolor Painting Workshop
Saturday, November 7, time TBD

Our resident artist, Pat Smith, is willing to share some tips and techniques to release your inner artist -- but ONLY if someone will team up with her to buy and prep the supplies! Speak to Pat Smith or Trish Haller if you are interested.
Making All Saints Day Prayer Candles
Sunday, October 25, 12:00 p.m.

Decorate a memorial candles for our All Saints Day Altar of Remembrance.  We’ll supply the glass candles and a variety of decorations. (A $5 donation to help defray costs would be appreciated.) Bring a photo of a loved one if you want to use it as part of the decoration. We will meet following the service to make the candles, to be used at the Feast of All Saints the following Sunday.
DBE Holiday Boutique Fundraiser
Saturday, November 21, 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

The Daughters of the British Empire are holding their annual holiday boutique here at St. Clare’s, and we are joining them in a big way this year with a St. Clare's table. We are asking everyone for donations we can sell, and lots of help staffing the table throughout the day! We are also looking for volunteers to help set up the table on Friday, November 20.
