Short Film – Open Call
We are delighted to put a call out to Irish Filmmakers !

As part of our goal to promote Irish film, CIACLA are delighted to present a series of short film screenings featuring work by emerging and established Irish filmmakers. The Irish film industry is currently enjoying a surge in output and success, with many Irish films gaining international recognition and winning major awards. This short film series will highlight a selection of contemporary short films with a revolving program of free daily screenings.

CIACLA – The Contemporary Irish Arts Center Los Angeles – promotes culture and supports local diverse communities through a multidisciplinary programme, in collaboration with local and international cultural partnerships. CIACLA is focused on developing a creative platform to support and challenge artists as a means of promoting creative innovation and collaborative initiatives in Los Angeles. CIACLA is a non-profit 501(c)(3).

This Film Screening Series will run from from 27th July to 24th August at CIACLA, Bergamot Station, Santa Monica

Each week over the four weeks, a rotation of Irish Short Films will be screened in our Gallery 2 – a small presentation space.


- Films must be less than 15 minutes in length

- All films submitted must have previously been shown in a film festival, broadcast or cinema release, and the submitter of this application must hold the rights for CIACLA to present the film.

- Films must have been released within the last 10 years

- There is no financial support or fee for this screening. This showcase is part of CIACLA's outreach program to provide opportunity for the Irish filmmaking community.
