IAC Exec Applications
The Israel Awareness Committee is a grassroots organization that celebrates Israel’s diverse, innovative and compassionate spirit. We work to promote dialogue by holding fun and informative events to showcase Israel’s flouring democracy that strives for equality, rights and freedoms for all peoples. The IAC family supports its executives to improve their skills in effective advocacy, strategic planning and personalized goals.

As a member of the IAC, each executive is responsible for the following:
• Attendance at bi-weekly meetings
• Leading one IAC event
• Contribution to op-eds
• Tabling twice a month
• Use of Facebook to stay updated on tasks and responsibilities
• Engage with one coalition partner

Positions available:

Vice-President Carleton: In the absence of the IAC President, this member is responsible for carrying out the duties of club leadership at Carleton. They are also responsible for more broadly representing the IAC, in a somewhat similar capacity to the President. They are largely consulted on all issues relative to the club in tangent with the President.

Vice-President UOttawa: In the absence of the IAC President, this member is responsible for carrying out the duties of club leadership at UOttawa. They are also responsible for more broadly representing the IAC, in a somewhat similar capacity to the President. They are largely consulted on all issues relative to the club in tangent with the President.

Vice-President Logistics: plan bimonthly tabling, recruit executives and volunteers to table, as well as ensure they are prepared and trained for tabling. Must also be responsible for managing the IAC CUSA Hub with the help of the IAC President.

Vice-President Media: responsible for ensuring articles are published on a monthly basis (including other executives’ articles) and writing articles pertaining to the events of our club for submission to the respective student papers.

Vice-President Communications: in charge of weekly social media and social media campaigns, including marketing and lead up to events. Will also be responsible for social media series, such as Humans of IAC.

Vice-President Internal Affairs: on-boarding new and potential members and executive members. Engagement and recruitment of students.

Algonquin College President: represent the IAC at Algonquin College.

Vice-President Events: work alongside other executives, in assisting them with the planning and implementation of their events.

First Year Representative: supporting various roles on the IAC executive concentrating on areas of interest. Focusing on engaging first year students in IAC programming and recruiting volunteers/new members.

Vice-President Education: ensure that there is an educational component to each IAC event.
