The Marcus Lewis Tennis Extension Program offers a mini-camp format of classes ranging from 45 minutes for ages 4-5, to an hour for ages 6-8 and an hour and a half for ages 9-14. The classes are four days, held Monday-Thursday of each week. Rates are $72 for ages 4-8 and $108 for ages 9-14 per week. Friday would be used only if an earlier day is rained out. A refund is issued at the end of the summer for any rain dates that we are not able to schedule a make-up lesson for.
The mini camp teaches proper technique and skills to the beginner player and it is always fun! It is a great way to try the sport of Tennis. Classes are kept at a maximum student/instructor ratio of 5:1 (register early so you don't miss out - once staffing is set, the number of students per class is also set!) A minimum of 4 players is required to run a class.
Registration is done through Harvard Community Education, sponsored by Harvard Park & Rec. Spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Class sizes are limited. Classes not meeting the minimum number of participants by Wednesday the WEEK PRIOR to the start date will be cancelled. Registrations will be accepted after Wednesday on a space available basis only (staffing will be set by Wednesday and will then limit the number of available spots), a late registration fee of $10 will be charged. Confirmation is sent by email directly from the Marcus Lewis Tennis Extension Program staff.
