Wong Fu Productions Assistant Video Editor/Camera Op Internship

+ DESCRIPTION

WFP seeks a part-time assistant video editor and camera operator who can be able to handle multiple projects and meet weekly deadlines. The ideal person must work efficiently with an intuitive storytelling ability. While the focus of this position is video editing and camera operating, he/she should be flexible to take on other roles such as audio mixer and grip. Please note candidates must be able to dedicate at least three days per week in order to be eligible.

+ RESPONSIBILITIES

Post Production:
• Video edit, on a daily basis, original short form content
• Perform audio equalization, mixing and mastering
• Transcode final projects for posting on the web
• Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro
• Basic After Effects or motion graphics skills necessary
• Solid grasp of graphic design principles
• Strong and engaging visual style in cinematography and editing
• Ability to complete a project from beginning to end: from concept to creation to final product

On Set:
• Proficient in handling and operations of digital camera equipment
• Knowledge and experience with lighting a scene
• Knowledge of external audio recording
• Work and adapt to high pace shooting environment

+ REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to work efficiently under stress and set priorities
• Must work effectively in a team and have a collaborative mindset
• Knowledge of YouTube, trending online content, and social media platforms
• A professional, positive, outgoing personality who takes initiative and has the ability to work independently as well as take direction to improve video production

+ Bonus but not necessary:

• Previous work experience in video editing and film


+ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Work location in Los Angeles
• This is a 3-month unpaid internship that may lead to a potential paid position
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be located in Southern California
• Must provide full work availability, which will include night, weekends and holidays
• Must provide own transportation to/from work
• Flexibility to alter shifts/days off to accommodate projects and deadlines
