BRIAN BYRON JERUSALEM BURSARY

Father Brian Byron, a deceased priest of the Archdiocese of Sydney, made a bequest in his Estate, to be administered by the Executive of the Manly Union, enabling active Australian diocesan clergy to undertake a formation program in Jerusalem. Applicants require the approval of their Ordinary for the proposed course.

A maximum of $5000 is able to be distributed annually via this fund, with most successful applicants receiving approximately $1500 to $2000.

Clergy applicants are asked to indicate the anticipated support they will receive to undertake the course, the Proposed Course, the Location where you intend to reside and to study, and the Amount you are applying for.

At the conclusion of the programme course, the Executive requests a maximum 1 page written report with 2 or 3 photos at the conclusion of the activity, in order to keep a record of activities for Manly Union members, to possibly provide information to members about the experience of studying in Jerusalem, and to possibly make the report available via our website.
