Please complete this form to apply for one of the major awards available as part of the Basketball Manitoba Awards. The deadline for the 2026 applications is is Tuesday, March 24 at 12 noon. There will be no extension of the deadline.

All successful applicants will need to provide written proof of enrollment at a post-secondary institution to receive the scholarship award.

Recognizes two Grade 12 basketball players in Manitoba (one male, one female) who excel on the court, in the classroom and in the community.

P - RON MEYERS LEADERSHIP AWARDS - 2 X $500.00 SCHOLARSHIPS * / **
Recognizes two Grade 12 basketball players in Manitoba (one male, one female) who excel in the community, on the court and in the classroom.

P - DONOVAN GAYLE SCHOLARSHIPS - 2 X $500.00 SCHOLARSHIPS **
Recognizing a Grade 12 basketball player who best meets the qualities of perseverance, determination and resilience that Donovan set as a leader in our community.

P - MATT JONSSON "ASSIST" SCHOLARSHIPS - 2 X $500.00 SCHOLARSHIPS **

Recognizes one male and one female high school basketball player (Grade 9–11) who demonstrate perseverance, teamwork, leadership, and a commitment to self-improvement, with a focus on supporting those in financial need.

P - LARRY MARQUARDSON MEMORIAL BASKETBALL AWARD - 1 x $700.00 SCHOLARSHIP **

Recognizes a Grade 12 female basketball player who exemplifies hard work, sportsmanship, and community spirit, maintains a 70% or higher academic average and is pursuing post-secondary education.

P - LENA WENKE COURAGE AWARD - 1 X $500.00 DONATION TO THE RECIPIENT'S CHARITY OF CHOICE **
Recognizes a Grade 12 basketball player who has faced and overcome obstacles or challenges in their life while staying involved in the sport of basketball.

C - JIM BULLOCH COACHING AWARD - 1 X $1000.00 SCHOLARSHIP ***
Recognizes a newer Manitoba basketball coach with little experience and strong potential as a long-term leader in our sport.

C - IRV HANEC COACHING AWARD - 1 X $750.00 SCHOLARSHIP ***
Recognizes a newer Manitoba basketball coach with little experience and strong potential as a long-term leader in our sport.

C - DENNIS WILSON COACHING AWARD - 1 X $1000.00 SCHOLARSHIP *** (NEW)

Recognizes a student who is pursuing a post-secondary Education degree with aspirations of becoming a teacher and coach and who demonstrates a dedication to development, leadership and community involvement.

M - MORRIS GLIMCHER STUDENT MANAGER SCHOLARSHIP - 1 X $1000.00 SCHOLARSHIP **

Recognizes a grade 12 graduating student as the Varsity Basketball Team Manager of the Year.
