2020 NYC Urban Beekeeping Program with Master Beekeeper, Carin Zinter, and The Honeybee Conservancy
We're excited to offer NYC's only Urban Beekeeping Apprenticeship Program led by the dynamic Master Beekeeper, Carin Zinter.
The Apprenticeship Program is designed for new beekeepers
The Intermediate Program is designed for beekeepers with 1+ years of beekeeping experience
Both courses run March - October (Apprentices = 15 sessions; Intermediates = 9 sessions).
As part of the course, you'll also benefit from:
- The only Master Beekeeper-led training program in NYC
- Special opportunity to participate in community outreach as a 'Bee Ambassador'
- Invitation into our national 'hive' of beekeepers, with an opportunity to visit The Honeybee Conservancy and partner apiaries nationwide
- Training certificate from The Honeybee Conservancy
The Honeybee Conservancy is a charity that has worked with local partners to create 300+ bee sanctuaries at schools, food banks and community gardens to help the bees, while increasing access to organic, sustainable food in underserved communities.
