Course Description:
This is an introductory course to the California Science Standards for K-12 educators. Learners will explore the intent and design of the NGSS and apply this to their learning environment. Through reading, collaboration, applied learning, and reflection, learners will recognize shifts needed to build an equity-focused science community in the classroom. Participants will become familiar with the use of phenomena to drive student learning and plan for three-dimensional science learning in their classroom or learning environment.
