Gambo History Walk on Saturday, March 24th at 10 am
Come learn about the amazing history of the Gambo Preserve. Former land trust board member Don Wescott will be leading this walk during which he will share a wealth of information about the Cumberland & Oxford Canal and Towpath, the Gunpowder Mill, and the Gambo Dam. These institutions/structures all figured prominently in the 19th century in our region. and remains of each can still be seen along the Gambo Trail. This will be an easy one mile walk over mostly flat terrain with lots of stops to learn about the history of the region.
