Crop consultants will provide gardening knowledge with gardeners who rent plots at the MARC Community Garden. Crop Consultants should answer gardeners' specific questions and should also offer their own suggestions on growing techniques and plant management. Crop consultants may answer questions via phone or email but should attend the majority of shared work events so that gardeners can ask questions in person. Shared work occurs on Mondays from 5:00-7:00 p.m., June-August.
Crop consultants should have at least five years of experience growing vegetables organically. Crop consultants should be patient teachers and should have good people skills. Ideally, crop consultants should have experience working with people from different social backgrounds.
