The parade is on Saturday, September 22, 2018 and will step off promptly at 11:00 AM. All WALKING participants are required to arrive at the Marchers Parking area at Stimson Middle School no later than 10:00 AM. A shuttle will take walkers from Stimson Middle School to Jefferson Elementary School. VEHICLE marchers need to assemble at Huntington High School. All participants are responsible for the organization of their group and are responsible for the removal of any equipment and/or refuse at the end of the day. No services or utilities, other than the shuttle service, will be available or provided to any participant.
I understand that all parade participants are independent agents and shall hold harmless the SHUFSD and Huntington Awareness Day and the Huntington Awareness Day Parade & Fair Volunteers, from and against any and all claims, liabilities, demands, expenses, fees, penalties, suits, proceedings, actions, causes of action of any and every kind and nature arising from or out of, or in any way connected with the parade participant’s activities in the September 22, 2018 Parade & Fair event. Parade participants are personally liable to other parade participants and members of the public for their own acts.
I understand that the SHUFSD and Huntington Awareness Day and its event co-organizers, and the Huntington Awareness Day Committee and Parade & Fair Volunteers shall not be held responsible for loss and/or damage to participant’s personal property caused by any reason, and will not assert any such claim against them.
Event organizers reserve the right to decline acceptance of any application or to ask the participant to leave the parade or fair if they have misrepresented information on this application, or their appearance or conduct is deemed inappropriate to this family oriented event.
SHUFSD and Huntington Awareness Day reserve the right in its sole discretion to cancel the event, in whole or in part, due to inclement weather. Should inclement weather occur on the day of the parade and fair, check for updates.
This participation contract must be completed, signed and returned as soon as possible, and no later than Friday, August 31, 2018. Forward this form and all relevant participation forms to Huntington Station Enrichment Center, Dolores Thompson, 1264 New York Avenue Huntington Station, NY 11746. No participants will be allowed in this parade without this completed, signed and approved form. Location in the parade is solely at the discretion of the event organizers. A copy of this form will be returned to you, indicating approval or denial, and shall serve as a receipt.
