Hello! Thanks for signing up for news of Youth Volume's Think Tank & GEMS Course of Action.

Complete this form (not every question is required) if you're interested in the Youth Volume Think Tank and/or GROWING EQUITABLE MUSIC STUDIOS, a Course of Action for studio music teachers who believe every child can change the world.

Together, let's expand studio diversity, access and inclusion while nurturing our students as changemakers. The Youth Volume Think Tank aims to recenter social justice from the margins to the heart of music education. Each session is generating practical solutions for individual music teachers to nurture their studios with diversity, equity and inclusion ASAP. Originally known as the Suzuki Social Justice Think Tank, our first Zoom events happened in August 2020.

Once you submit this form, course coach Clara Hardie will share any new GEMS developments with you by email once every few months. This includes Youth Volume Think Tank session dates, which are also GEMS graduation celebrations!

Prospective GEMS students who would like to set up a 30-minute phone consultation to see if you're a good fit and get registered may email clara@detroityouthvolume.org directly. Five teachers will be accepted into each cohort: Fall, Winter, & Spring. A automated webinar and Summer GEMS sessions are on the horizon!
