Thanks for expressing interest in joining Association for Computing Education. We are a student organization that aims to provide resources and community for students interested in the field of computing education, including teaching practice for computing subjects and computing education research.
Some example events/initiatives we are hoping to organize in the near future:
- TA panel on TA application process and TA experience for computing courses
- TA mentorship program pairing experienced and new/prospective computing TAs
- Equitable pedagogy workshop for computing education
- Researcher panel on the field of computing education research, ongoing projects, and available opportunities
- Guest speaker session on other teaching opportunities outside Allen School/UW
- Member social events with free food
- Annual computing education symposium/celebration
