STEM Goes Red Student Application
It is extremely important for women to pursue careers in STEM-related fields to help advance research and awareness for women's heart health. For this reason, the American Heart Association created a program for high school students called STEM Goes Red.
STEM Goes Red is a year-long engagement program which gives female high school juniors the opportunity to explore science, technology, engineering, math, and media outside of the classroom.
As part of the program, participants will visit local hospitals and businesses, meeting female executives in various STEM fields. STEM Goes Red participants will have the opportunity to attend a speed networking session with female leaders in LA, a storytellers workshop with media and entertainment executives, a job shadow day with a mentor in research and in a hospital setting, and a Go Red For Women signature event in the spring. Participants will also have the opportunity to be interview a professional in a field you are interested. Students will be asked to complete a final media project due in March.

Interested high school juniors are encouraged to apply.
