In order to make all our school events and fundraisers happen for Soaring Heights PK-8, we need your help! The more people we have volunteering, the better our school events and support will be for our kids and staff members. There are opportunities for everyone! 

Please complete this form to indicate your volunteer interests for the 2026-2027 School Year.

Description of General Volunteer Opportunities 
We will email you monthly to sign up for a variety of opportunities to volunteer throughout the school. Volunteer needs may include: Jog-a-thon, Hearing and Vision Screening, Picture Day, Hospitality Opportunities (both donations and serving at school - setting up/cleaning up), Book Fair, Copy Cat Program, or Other Events. 
Description of Room Parent Committments
  • PTO liaison for class - attendance at general monthly PTO meetings is required to share PTO information with classroom families 
  • Connects with classroom teacher routinely to provide any support the class may need
  • Coordinates with classroom teacher to plan, organize, and run at least 2 classroom parties (Halloween and Valentine's Day)
  • Creates holiday door posters 3x/year (Halloween, Valentine's Day, and Staff Appreciation Week)
  • Coordinates class teacher gifts for the holidays and end of school year

Thank you for your interest in volunteering this year! We need your support and are excited to work alongside you to serve our students and staff. All Volunteers must fill out a District Volunteer Application once per school year. Please complete this and bring to the front office before your first volunteer opportunity. 

Our 1st PTO Meeting will be Wednesday, September 2nd at 6:30 PM 

Room Parent Selection will be drawn from a lottery and selected before Sept. 2nd. Please plan on attending our Room Parent Orientation immediately after the first PTO meeting on Sept. 2nd.
