CHRISTIAN WITNESS' INFORMATION
A Christian Witness for a child's baptism is a validly baptized Christian of a non-Catholic Church (canon 874).
Eligibility of Christian Witness:
The following are the REQUIREMENTS in order for a Christian Witness to participate:
- If there is only one Catholic godparent, a Christian Witness may participate. If there are two Catholic godparents, a Christian Witness is not needed.
- The Christian Witness must be the opposite sex of the godparent e.g., if the godparent is female then the Christian Witness must be male.
