Join the Beaverton Inclusive Housing Cohort and help us create more inclusive neighborhoods in Beaverton! In partnership between the City of Beaverton and Unite Oregon, the Beaverton Inclusive Housing Cohort brings together immigrants, refugees, renters, English-language learners, and people of color to learn about a broad range of housing issues and planning for future growth. We are looking for community members with an interest in housing access and affordability to help shape future projects and programs.

GOALS
The program centers on three goals:
   * Expand community organizing and leadership skills
   * Build the capacity of community members to participate in advising the city on local housing issues
   * Empower community members to help shape new and existing neighborhoods in Beaverton!

SAFETY GUIDELINES
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the cohort will meet VIRTUALLY starting in September. There may be potential for in-person meetings based on safety guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS
   * Have some connection to Beaverton (live, work, go to school, worship etc.)
   * Willing and able to attend all meetings.
   * Willing to share your lived experience and what you’ve learned with others in your community.

ACCESSIBILITY
   * Stipends ($) available for your attendance
   * Language interpretation and technology support available by request

INTERVIEW DATES
The purpose of a group interview is a way to get to know you and each other and have a informal conversation about your interest in the cohort. The interview will be conducted VIRTUALLY (on Zoom). We have reserved six slots for group interviews and conversation with you. In the form below, please indicate as many slots as possible you would likely be available to meet with us. We will confirm with you individually of date and time after reviewing your application.
