Park Comedy / One Mic Stand-up Sign-up 2025/6
This form is the central place to sign-up for the One Mic Stand-up open mics run by Tessa & Julia Clement including Park Comedy.
If you wish to apply for multiple shows with different early/late or time requirements you will be given the option to submit additional responses.

Please check out the New Zealand Comedy Guild code of conduct linked from https://performerpower.nz/about/ . By accepting a spot in a show you are accepting that code of conduct.

We need your email address for two reasons:
1. so you can have a copy of your sign-up, with an edit link, sent to you &
2. so we can contact you if we have a problem matching a performer with your Facebook name.

The edit link should also be useful to you when we add more shows to this form so you don't need to re-enter all your data.

Parks & Domains are outdoors, events are weather dependent.

All park shows are now new material shows. New material for that park, which means you can theoretically do the same material up to 5 weeks running, hopefully improving it as you go. Should we not have an audience at any park we will switch to a workshop for that gig.

All current shows are open to all comedians.You can request as many shows as you like, we will select casts from available performers. Start time 6:30 PM for parks and 7:30 PM for indoor shows unless noted otherwise.

Absolute beginners are welcome to anything from 3 to 6 minutes. More confident people anything from 6 to 10. If you want something longer than 10 minutes per show it's by negotiation, please tell us in the Notes field below why you want it.

Please consider your answer carefully, once the running order is published it will be difficult for us to change.

Strictly optional, we don't currently use performers names, but others do on things like banners on events. We might try it in future.

After being advised that people who would like to perform aren't seeing our casting calls in Facebook, we're starting a Mailchimp mailing list of future performing opportunities. We're aiming to send out a regular monthly list of available gigs with updates if we add new gigs. Based on past experience we are unlikely to ever add more than 1 or 2 gigs in any month, more typically no new gigs.You can unsubscribe any time you like.

Anything you wish to tell us. Examples include if you're a beginner, your performance genre if not stand-up, why you are after a long set, if you're a traveller in Auckland for a short time.

Our standard set-up is a single mic with stand, with a little warning we can provide extra tech such as mics, guitar inputs, etc. Let us know if you need any extras & we'll do our best to help.
Rules
1  When we have more people requesting spots than available spots we select on a number of criteria, mainly achieving variety within each show and between shows.

2. We manage shows through a Facebook Messenger Group. You must be a member of this group to perform. Among other things this means Ingleby Clement (Julia) must be able to add you to it.

3. Summer Park shows including Gong start at 6:30 PM. Winter Park shows at 1 PM. Most other shows start at 7:30 (But please check your show). Please arrive at least 15 minutes before you are scheduled to perform.

4. Google will email you a copy of your request with an edit link. If things change, please use that link to correct your entry.

5. If you have to cancel, please give us as much warning as possible so we can find a replacement.
A copy of your responses will be emailed to the address you provided.
