Artisan and Community Vendor Information

The Canmore Folk Music Festival welcomes 50-60 artisans and fair trade retailers to our vendor village each year. We offer a vast array of handmade and fair trade goods to purchase from jewellery, musical instruments and furniture to clothing and art. We welcome 3000-5000 patrons per day to the festival.

Our vendors are selected from over 100 applicants and judged on a variety of factors, such as quality and originality, price, artistic talent, booth displays and the environmental sustainability of their goods. Previous participation in the Canmore Folk Festival does not guarantee acceptance the following year.

The Canmore Folk Festival will accept applications for the Artisan and Community Booths from Feb 1-May 1. 2017.

If you would like to be considered for our 2017 festival that runs from Aug 5th- 7th, 2017, please fill out and return the application form and agreement before May 1, 2017. Thank you.

Please do not send payment until you have been notified of acceptance.

As a booth participant, you will receive the following for each booth space purchased:

10’ x 10’ booth at the cost of $300 plus $15.00 gst
Advertising in the festival program
Vendor parking permit for one vehicle
2 weekend festival passes (additional passes can be purchased from the coordinator)
3 days of opportunity to display your wares
Power is provided (need own extension cords)
Dates: Saturday,August 5th - August 7th

Hours you need to commit to being open:

Saturday 3-10 pm
Sunday 10-10 pm
Monday 10-6 pm
No vehicles will be permitted on the site during the festival hours. We have golf carts available for transportation of product from the booth parking lot to your booth, if required during festival hours.

Set up will be on Saturday August 5th between 8am and 2pm.

Artisan and Community Vendor booths are required to adhere to our Toward Zero Waste requirements, including sorting and recycling all waste products through your booth. Please try to use compostable and recyclable materials, including bags provided to customers. Thank you.

We are humbly asking for a donation from each vendor (approx. $20 value) to the festival that can be used as a reward to our fabulous volunteers. We like to collect these items on Saturday so that we can do the draws throughout the weekend and announce the supporting booths from the mainstage.
