CWS Survey on the National Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) Test
This survey is in regard to the test message sent to cell phones on October 3rd, 2018 at 11:18 a.m. from FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency). The purpose of the test is to assess the operational readiness of the infrastructure for distribution of a national emergency message. This system can also be activated by the Contra Costa County Community Warning System (CWS) for local emergencies such as urban interface fires or hazardous materials releases. We have put together this short survey to determine the effectiveness of the Wireless Emergency Alert system within our County.
