Do you love outer space, education, or volunteering to serve kids? Then this volunteer opportunity is for you! The time is coming for Science Palooza 2019! This year's theme is 'Out of This World' and brings all things outer space to the Provo Recreation Center. Science Palooza encompasses a wide variety of experiments, demonstrations, and activities for children of all ages to come and explore. In order to make all of these activities influential, we need passionate volunteers who are willing to help us facilitate positive and interactive experiences for our community members!
Date & Where: Saturday, March 30th, at the Provo Recreation Center (320 W 500 N, Provo, UT 84601)
Time: We have two volunteer shift options available. The morning shift is from 9:30am-1:30pm and the afternoon shift is from 1:30pm-5:30pm. The actual event is from 11:00 am-4:30 pm.
What to expect: We need passionate volunteers who are willing to help facilitate all aspects of the event. This may include, but is not limited to: facilitating an interactive science experiment, teaching the participants about the science behind outer space (we will give you the information you need to teach them), helping set up and take down, crowd management, directing attendees, giving out experience time tickets, etc. No matter the specific position, our volunteers are vital in helping our attendees create memorable experiences for each individual attendee!
