Day of Action Project Registration
The United Way of Monroe/Lenawee Counties is holding a Day of Action on Friday, August 18th, 2017. Any non-profit organization located in Lenawee County can host a project site. Projects will be accepted until July 7th, 2017. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Associate Director Jackie Bradley at (517)264-6821 or jbradley@unitedwaymlc.org

Tips for planning your Day of Action Project:

1. Volunteers like to feel a sense of accomplishment! Pick a project that produces a result and can be completed in the time allotted.

2. Your project shouldn't too complicated or dangerous for the skill set of your volunteers.

3. You are expected to provide all the materials necessary for your project, so request the right number of volunteers for the resources you have.

4. Have a back-up plan! The Day of Action doesn't have a rain date, so if your primary project is outdoors, you may want to have an indoor alternative. You may also want to have smaller projects ready in case your primary project is completed early.
