Augmented/Virtual Reality: Immersive Tech for Healthcare
CSD 490 Course Description: by permission on instructor
This course will explore the intersection of emerging immersive technologies (virtual/augmented reality, mixed reality, 360 media, etc.) and healthcare to solve current problems of access and cost. Interdisciplinary student teams in healthcare, technology and design from across the University will develop innovative prototypes for health care training, caregiving, rehabilitation, etc. Learning will take place at a number of locations, including JMU X-Labs (a makerspace), medical simulation labs, and field trips. Students will have access to the latest cutting edge immersive technology.

Course Meeting Time: M 5:30-8:30pm
Lakeview Hall 1150 (The X-Labs)
