2025 Wiki-a-thon Supporting BIPOC Scientists
Join us for an afternoon of creating and editing pages for BIPOC scientists, engineers, and technologists! Wikipedia overwhelmingly recognizes the achievements of white people. This wiki-a-thon works to reverse this trend, highlighting the often overlooked accomplishments of BIPOC leaders in science and technology, and ensuring that the next generation can see role models who look like them.

We will provide a list of scientists who don't yet have pages, as well as training on how to contribute to Wikipedia. No experience is necessary! 

When: Thursday, October 23rd from 2-5pm. Come for the whole time or just an hour or two!
Where: E2-506 and zoom (link will be mailed out before the event)
Who: All students, faculty, and staff are welcome to attend!
