Description
MetRec's
operations grants are financial awards to support and elevate non-profit organizations'
operations, including but not limited to supporting recreation staff payroll, ongoing
operations, equipment purchases, and maintenance of recreational facilities,
amenities, trails, and spaces.
Eligibility
- Nonprofits only
- Based within MetRec’s district boundaries
- The product of your operations must be available to the public
- Have been previously funded by MetRec
Goals- Elevate recreation operations of nonprofit recreation organizations
- Supporting staff acquisition, development, and retention in the non-profit recreation sector
- Improving access to recreational opportunities for under-served recreation communities
- Enhancing the quality and safety of existing recreational facilities, amenities, trails, and spaces
- Leverage fee-based or donor revenue
- Leverage funding outside of Gunnison County
- Promote multi-year planning. New submissions with an existing multi-year grant will only be considered under extenuating circumstances
Project Budget & Match RequirementsA 75% match of the total project cost is required. For example, if your total operations expense is $100,000, a $75,000 match is required and $25,000 would be the maximum grant request amount.
Funding Minimum and Maximum$10,000 and $150,000 Annually
