For the 2026-2027 year, I want to be considered for

Trustee: As a trustee, we ask that you attend board meetings, actively engage in discussions, and fulfill your volunteer hours. We also encourage you to support CEF meaningfully, whether through a financial contribution that aligns with your comfort level or by securing sponsorships. Your involvement is vital to CEF’s success.

Volunteer: Volunteers are always welcome to attend board meetings to stay informed and become more involved, though this is not a requirement. We do ask that you contribute in ways that work best for you—whether through your time, connections, or assistance at events. While there is no requirement for financial contributions, any support you can provide—big or small—is always appreciated.

Communications Committee: The Communications Committee is responsible for managing our outreach efforts, including promoting our grants and events. This committee creates and distributes content across various platforms such as Tapinto articles, Constant Contact emails, and social media posts to keep the community informed and engaged.

Development Committee: The Development Committee focuses on building and nurturing relationships with donors through outreach initiatives like donor surveys, targeted events, and personalized thank-you letters. This group also plays a key role in maintaining and updating our donor database to ensure accurate tracking and engagement.

Events & Sponsorship Committee: The Event and Sponsorship Committee is responsible for overseeing and executing our major fundraising events such as Trivia Night, Teacher Tributes, and the annual spring event. Additionally, this committee works to identify and secure local sponsorship opportunities to support these initiatives.

Finance Committee: The Finance Committee oversees the financial health of the organization, including our endowment. This committee works to ensure transparency and accountability in all financial matters.

Grants Committee: The Grants Committee typically meets once per grant cycle to review and discuss the grants submitted to CEF. These discussions help the committee gain a deeper understanding of each grant before they are presented at the monthly board meetings for approval.

Nominating & Member Development: The Nominating and Member Development Committee is responsible for executing the annual nominating process to propose a slate of potential trustees, volunteers and officers for the organization. They also facilitate interviews with prospective members to ensure alignment with the organization’s needs and goals.
