Hi! Thank you for showing interest in participating in Fisher's First Special Olympics. My name is Gianna Giglio and I am hosting this event.
This year, I am nominated for Champion of the Year through Best Buddies International. This means I am trying to raise the maximum amount of money out of my 6 competitors in order to win the ultimate prize of making a difference. All proceeds go to growing Best Buddies programs in the Rochester area.
If you are unfamiliar on what Best Buddies is, it is a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development, and inclusive living for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
Having a brother with multiple disabilities, this program means the world. It is important to support this program to help individuals with IDD have the same opportunities as others who don't have a disability.
Sign up below to participate on Saturday November 4th 2023 from 1-3pm on the back field. It will be $2 to participate, which will all be donated to my campaign. Everyone will be split into teams.
There will be 3 events:
1) Soccer Game
2) Kickball Tournament
3) Relay Race with an Obstacle Course
There will be snacks and refreshments. If you don't wish to participate, feel free to show your support and watch!
