Meet Director / affiliated country agrees and is responsible for the following:
Meet director will retain 100% of all athlete entry fees. and membership fees to the affiliated country. lifters will not be expected to by additional membership to the WPU.
Meet Director will secure an adequate venue in accordance to the specification listed in the preface noted above and will be responsible for all costs incurred for the rental of said venue. The meet directors are responsible for the standard of their referees. This will ensure that they are trained according to the rules of the BPF/WPU and will be prepared to independently run any future meets.The objective is to make meet director self-sufficient by 2024 to run future BPF/WPU competitions without the necessity of providing personnel from the BPF/ WPU world office.
The meet director will pay for the flights, hotel rooms for all international referees and staff officials working at the event they are hosting. In addition, each staff member from the WPU world office shall receive a daily food stipend of full breakfast and lunch with drinks throughout the day.The meet director will provide male and female toilet and changing facilities at any event athletes are required to attend.
Meet director will provide all equipment and spotters/loaders needed at the contest. This includes, and is not limited to, all competition equipment (Kilo plates, competition barbells, combination squat/bench rack, banner, lights, computers, computer programs, PA system, judging lights). A minimum of 2 warm-up platforms are required for each qualifying competition platform. and a minimum of 3 form international meets.
Meet director will be responsible for developing all flyers, artwork, and marketing materials to promote and advertise the event through social media and/or other methods. The WPU world office may assist, advise, and support to ensure marketing efforts are effective.Meet director must follow to the BPF/WPU rule book at all times.
WPU agrees and is responsible for the following:
The WPU will test, certify, and train the referee candidates referred by meet director. meet director will cover their hotel, food stipends, and daily compensation as specified above.
NOTICES
All notices in connection with this Agreement shall be in writing and may be sent via email : WPUHEADOFFICE@GMAIL.COM attention of the president Mr Marcus Griffiths.
CANCELLATION OR BREACH
In reliance into this agreement, Meet Director and WPU will immediately incur expenses in preparation of the scheduled event. This includes, but is not limited to, purchasing the applicable sanction and insurance coverages, marketing and promotion of the event, reserving any required hotel accommodations for supporting staff, preparation of online entry forms, and accepting paid registrations from athletes who intend to participate in the contest. For this reason, this agreement is non-cancellable after 10 days from the date of execution and, in the event of a breach, the mutual parties agree that they will be responsible for reimbursement of all expenses and lost revenue incurred by each other.
SEVERABILITY
In the event any provision of this Agreement is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder of this Agreement shall remain in force as if such provision were not a part.
ENTIRE AGREEMENT
This Agreement sets forth the entire understanding between the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof, and merges and supersedes all prior agreements, discussions and understandings, express or implied, concerning such matters.
