GOTCHA database is used for scientific research of biometrics and soft biometric recognition in-the-wild. It is collected by Biometric Image Processing Lab (BIPLab) of University of Salerno in collaboration with Instituto Universitario de Sistemas Inteligentes y Aplicaciones Numéricas en Ingeniería (SIANI) of University of Las Palmas De Gran Canaria. Any one or group is allowed to use this database free of charge.
Rules:
1. Redistribution: Without prior approval from Prof. Michele Nappi or Prof.
Modesto Castrillón-Santana, the creators of the database, the GOTCHA Database, either entirely or partly, should not be further distributed, published, copied, or disseminated in any way or form, no matter for profitable use or not, including further distribution to a different department or organization in the same system.
2. Modification: Without prior approval from BIPLab or SIANI, in the person of Prof. Nappi and Prof. Castrillón-Santana, the GOTCHA Database, either entirely or partly, is not allowed to be modified.
3. Commercial Use: Without prior approval from BIPLab or SIANI, in the person of Prof. Nappi and Prof. Castrillón-Santana, the GOTCHA Database, either entirely, partly, or in any format derived thereof, is not allowed for commercial use.
4. Publication requirements: In no case should the images be used in a way that could possibly cause embarrassment or mental anguish to any of the subjects.
5. Acknowledgement: The following reference should be cited in all documents and papers that report experimental results based on the GOTCHA database: P. Barra, C. Bisogni, M. Nappi, D. 6. Publication and Results Gathering: Authors of all reports and papers that use the GOTCHA Database are kindly requested to send copies of these publications to cbisogni[at]

7. Indemnification: All persons using the database agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless BIPLab, SIANI and its officers, employees and agents, individually and collectively, from any and all losses, expenses, damages. If any, users shall pay all damages, claims, judgments or expenses caused by misuse of the GOTCHA database.
Note: Signatory must have the legal authority to sign licensing agreements on behalf of the Licensee with BIPLab and SIANI. Licensee’s legal staff should review the terms and conditions of this agreement and execute it. Agreements signed by individuals without this authority are not valid and will be discarded.
