Grade My Size Survey 2019
Thank you for taking our survey. This survey is open until 4/08/19.

The inclusive size range discussion carries on, and to help both sewists and pattern makers, we'd like to survey our amazing community. Your data is anonymous, and will be shared here on Sewcialists with you in graph form, and with any pattern maker looking to make more informed decisions on the patterns they produce for our community.

Please be as accurate as possible. It is helpful to team up with a friend and some chocolate. If you need further explanation or diagrams, using a system such as freesewing.org or mybodymodel.com can help, or any number of fitting books from your library.

Our goal is to revisit this every year for a sort of "living" database that can be updated. At this time, this survey is geared toward folks with breasts. In part because we have to start somewhere, in part because there's a fitting series in the works, and it will be both for folks with breasts and done in Imperial measurements. Hope that clarifies some things.

While the survey has been updated to allow for both Imperial and metric, here's a link to a quick conversion page if you'd like: https://www.metric-conversions.org/length/centimeters-to-inches.htm It might be useful to have both.

NOTE: Some of our measurement requests are different from a croquis generator, such as the MyBodyModel (MBM) examples shown. Our measurement questions are set up more for blocks/slopers, whereas an app creating a body would need slightly different measurements. This is particularly important to note on the Shoulder Width Measurement. We'd like to thank Erica from MBM for giving her permission to use MBM generated croquis.

(I will note here that my croquis was paid for by me, as were the others paid for by their owners; this is not an advertisement or endorsement - I just didn't want to do that much work in Illustrator. The MBM logos are to protect intellectual property as requested by Erica. :D /B)
