Transportation Information:

1. Each student is assigned one pick-up location and one drop-off location five days a week and shall not be permitted to use any other bus without prior written permission from the Director of Transportation. For alternative days, parents/guardians are responsible for arranging transportation.

2. ZPS is unable to provide transportation for out-of-district students unless there is room on the nearest in-district bus. This approval process takes place in October.

3. ZPS transportation is not available for transporting friends to or from school for sports, parties, scouts, church events, homework/study, sleepovers, etc. Only in an emergency situation is there a Temporary Request Form that needs to be completed for a student to ride a bus other than their normally assigned bus route.

4. Bus routes are established so that an authorized bus stop is available within reasonable walking distance of the home of every resident student eligible for transportation.  It is the responsibility of the parent, guardian or designee to get the student(s) to/from the stop safely. As a reminder, our buses do not travel down all roads, including cul-de-sacs, dead-end streets, private roads/drives, or into every subdivision.
