January 29th Parole Justice Advocacy Day
Join the Release Aging People in Prison Campaign, Parole Preparation Project and others throughout New York State in Albany on Tuesday, January 29th for an all day advocacy day for parole justice in Albany.

We'll meet with NYS elected officials, march and rally in support of our parole justice demands: 1. A fully staffed Parole Board with Parole Commissioners who have professional backgrounds in rehabilitation; 2. Elder parole, which allows all incarcerated older people, aged 55 plus an opportunity for parole release after serving 15 consecutive years in prison; 3. A parole process that centers change and transformation instead of punishment and re-sentencing.

Free transportation will be provided from NYC and made available in other regions of the state as needed. Food will be provided.

Here is the schedule for the day:

9:30AM: Arrive in Albany
10AM: Short speak-out outside of Gov's office & march to LOB
10:30AM-12:15PM: Legislative Meetings
12:30PM: Press conference & speak-out
2PM: Gather in the concourse for food and debrief
