Good news! CLiC is pleased to offer financial assistance to those interested in attending one of its 2017 Spring Workshops in Grand Junction, Fort Morgan or Pueblo. There are several different types of scholarships that we offer, so choose the one that best fits your needs. Here are the options:
- TWO DAY REGISTRATION: CLiC will cover the cost of registration for 2 days of attendance.
- ONE DAY REGISTRATION: CLiC will cover the cost of registration for 1 day of attendance.
- ONE DAY REGISTRATION + SUBSTITUTE TEACHER REIMBURSEMENT: This scholarship is designed to allow school librarians to attend for a single day, and includes the cost of registration for 1 day of attendance plus reimbursement for a substitute teacher for that day (up to $100 value). School librarians are also encouraged to apply for the other types of scholarships if they don’t need reimbursement for a substitute.
DEADLINESThe deadlines to apply for scholarships for each location are as follows:
Grand Junction: Friday, February 17 Fort Morgan: Friday, March 3 Pueblo: Friday, March 24
Applicants will be notified if they have been awarded a scholarship a week after the application period closes for each workshop. You may register for the workshops, but DO NOT pay until you are notified that you were not awarded a scholarship.
Scholarship application deadlines have been coordinated with the hotel reservation deadlines in Grand Junction and Pueblo. If you prefer, you can secure your lodging in advance and make any necessary changes to your reservation after you are notified about your application. Hotel information can be found on the CLiC Spring Workshop webpage: http://bit.ly/CLiCSpring2017
NOTE: CLiC may ask scholarship winners to write a brief summary of how the workshop helped them do their job better or improve service for their library patrons. This summary may be used by CLiC for future communication/marketing related to the Spring Workshops.
