The Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, with the support of UNICEF and Generation Unlimited, is leading the development of a comprehensive National Adolescent and Youth Policy to address the needs and aspirations of adolescents & young people across Pakistan. This policy seeks to provide guiding principles for youth development by adopting a coherent and integrated approach to social and economic investments.
By leveraging public, private, and youth partnerships under the Generation Unlimited platform, the policy will actively foster strong international linkages through engagement with global institutions, international NGOs, multilateral organizations, and youth networks. This collaborative approach ensures that the policy remains progressive, dynamic, and aligned with global best practices for youth development.
Built around the 4Es Framework — Education, Employment, Engagement, and Environment — the policy will be developed based on the principal of "For youth & By Youth" through an inclusive consultative process involving stakeholders at federal and provincial levels, particularly the adolescents & young people.
